Find a Defibrillator Near You
Finding your closest defibrillator
It's worth knowing where your nearest defibrillator is before you need one.
Take a look at the defibrillator map and find out what's available in your local area.
And remember, if someone suffers a cardiac arrest:
CALL 999 → START CPR → GET A DEFIBRILLATOR
The emergency services will tell you what to do and how to access the nearest available defibrillator.

Please always dial 999 immediately in an emergency and they will direct you to your nearest defibrillator.
A defibrillator can make the difference between life and death
Every second counts
When someone suffers a cardiac arrest, every second counts.
The Chain of Survival describes the key steps that can give someone the best possible chance of surviving a cardiac arrest:
Early recognition and calling 999 →
Early CPR →
Early defibrillation →
Professional medical care
Our free CPR and defibrillator training helps local people take action in those crucial first few minutes.
But training is only part of the picture. There also needs to be a working defibrillator nearby, ready to use when it is needed.
That is where Heartstart Malvern's defibrillator network comes in.

How we are making a difference
Did you know we look after a network of defibrillators?
Heartstart Malvern is probably best known for our free CPR and defibrillator training. Since we launched in 2017, thousands of local people have learnt how to recognise a cardiac arrest, perform CPR and use a defibrillator.
But there is another important part of our work that many people don't know about.
We also help to provide and maintain a network of public access defibrillators across Malvern and the surrounding villages.
We currently have 39 defibrillators within our network, and each one needs regular checking to make sure it is ready to be used in an emergency.

Every week, our volunteers check our defibrillators
Our volunteers regularly visit the defibrillators in our network to check that they are:
Working and showing that they are ready for use
In good condition and accessible
Stored correctly in their cabinets
Equipped with in-date pads and batteries
Registered and available for emergency use
If something isn't right, we need to act quickly.
A battery might need replacing. Pads might need changing. A cabinet could need attention. Or a defibrillator may need to be temporarily taken out of service.
It is a small amount of maintenance that could make a huge difference when a life is at stake.
Our goal: 50 defibrillators by the end of 2027
Let's make it happen
Our 10th anniversary is in 2027, and we want to mark it by reaching an important milestone:
50 public access defibrillators across Malvern and the surrounding villages.
That means making sure more people have access to a defibrillator when they need one.
But installing a defibrillator is only the beginning.
We need the funds to buy the equipment and cabinets, suitable locations to host them, and volunteers to help us keep them checked and ready for use.
